Meet the nutritional therapy team
Ruth Wood – Nutritional Therapy
With over 25 years of experience, I am an evidence-based nutritionist dedicated to delivering personalised, results-driven care.
My practice is grounded in comprehensive nutritional assessments designed to meet each client’s unique needs.
I launched my career in the heart of London in 1999, running nutrition clinics within leading financial institutions and legal firms. Working at the centre of high-pressure corporate life sharpened my expertise in managing stress-related health concerns and supporting performance under pressure.
My work soon extended to media organisations, including the BBC, where I developed wellbeing strategies for individuals and provided specialist input across a range of projects.
I later became the lead nutritionist for the Priory Group in South- West London, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to support mental health and addiction recovery. My passion for helping people navigate complex challenges also led me to consult for several other rehabilitation clinics.
Discreet, trusted, and results focused, I have advised numerous high-profile clients who rely on my expertise and confidentiality.
I remain committed to empowering individuals and organisations to achieve optimal health and wellbeing through personalised assessments, education, and actionable guidance.
My Ethos
We are all unique, and there’s no single way of eating that works for everyone.
My philosophy is about empowering each person to discover the style of eating that suits their body, their health, and their lifestyle — while keeping food enjoyable.
In over 25 years of practice as a nutritionist, I’ve stayed firmly no-fad.
Quick fixes and trendy diets often overpromise, underdeliver, and aren’t grounded in evidence. Real, lasting health doesn’t come from “magic superfoods”; it comes from balanced, simple eating that feels sustainable and is tailored to you.
Your nutritional needs are shaped by your genetics, your preferences, your health, and your budget. Nourishing your mind and body should feel natural — a way of life, not a rigid set of rules.
Good nutrition isn’t about deprivation or copying someone else’s plan. It is about pleasure, confidence, and finding joy in the food that fuels your body and your life.
